Made with Shiraz fruit from our home vineyard, Alagna, overlooking McLaren Vale. This wine is extremely limited due to the small size of our block of Nero d'Avola and Aglianico with only 130 dozen produced.
The fruit was picked in the cool early morning light and after crushing, destemming and fermentation, placed into mature oak for 10 months to develop before careful racking and bottling.
TASTING NOTES
An exhilaratingly different take on a red blend, this vibrant purple wine exhibits floral notes as well as black and red fruits.
The palate enjoys red and black currant; some raspberry and a hint of licorice. The spice palate has some gentle tobacco and as well as hits of herbs evoking Tuscan Courtyard. Firm tannins on the finish bring a satisfying mouth feel to this delicious wine.
