2024 Sashiko Adelaide Hills Fiano
Our Fiano fruit comes from a single vineyard site in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia.
Fiano is an Italian white wine grape variety that is grown primarily in the Campania region of southern Italy and on the island of Sicily.
The grape has a long history and is believed to have been the grape behind the ancient Roman wine Apianum.
TASTING NOTES
This Fiano is intensely flavoured and aromatic. The nose is of white peach & pear, lifted with apple blossom, citrus and nectarine. Green apple, nectarine & a hint of peach follows on the palate. Chalky minerality is underlain with a dash of honey and spice to finish. A beautifully bright and textural wine, with great length.
FOOD MATCH
A wide range of Italian and seafood dishes, however we have been enjoying it with prawn & mango salsa tacos
